"In February, 2002 I began working with Dave. I was 58 years old, 5' 2" and 110 lbs. and had never worked with a strength coach. I had a two year diagnosis of osteoporosis with Fossamax as treatment. It was my feeling that there were more and better ways to improve my health.
We started immediately with my poor eating habits . . . healthy food but only once a day and lots of tea . . . too little and not balanced. Dave made me keep food logs and we went over it once a week until I finally learned to make good choices and eat frequent small meals. I now have a healthy, structured and effective diet and intake pattern.
We also started my strength and conditioning program. Within a year my Dexa scan had shown marked improvement and at the two year mark I was able to discontinue the drug. I was no longer showing my initial diagnosis!
As an aside, I began power lifting: squats, benches and dead lifting plus multiple other conditioning exercises. Always a different workout which really made my muscles never be complacent. It made the bone changes happen more quickly and it was FUN. I never got "muscle bound" . . . (doesn't happen to women), only stronger and very self confident.
Unfortunately, in October, 2006 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had surgery and in 2007 embarked on a year of chemo and radiation treatments. Dave was right there on my journey. The day after chemo we were doing heavy workouts to work the chemo out of my system and we were proving that we were bigger than the disease. Dave tweaked my diet and we kept up the strength and conditioning 3 days a week. My cancer is in remission and I believe the workouts were a big contributing factor.
Two years after my diagnosis and treatment, I was told that I would never be as strong as I was before. Dave and I refused to accept that idea. Therefore, at the age of 65, I again dead lifted 225 lbs.
In the eight years we have been together I have never been hurt, my dietary habits are great and I love my little old strong, healthy body!!"

"Dave Calvert is an awesome trainer! Before I met Dave I was an aspiring model with little knowledge on nutrition, low self-confidence, and a dislike for all things related to exercise. My lifestyle, body, and attitude have completely changed since then. I am now in the best shape of my life and have signed with an L.A. modeling agency. I have gained the self-confidence that I lacked and feel as though I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. His expertise in nutrition and exercise has helped me get to my goal weight and maintain it. Dave is easy and fun to work with and always made me feel comfortable. I owe my health and success in modeling to Dave."

"Dave really helped me to change my body. He not only showed me exactly what exercises to do, but he also equipped me with the knowledge of what to eat when and what I can do on my own or when traveling. Dave always comes with a smile and a great sense of humor, plus he's really helpful to answer questions and go the extra mile to make sure my goals are reached.

"Starting out with the Colorado Rockies, I was a very raw athlete who didn't have the knowledge I needed to take my athletic career to the next level. Dave's strength and nutrition training programs motivated me to succeed at a high level. Dave was also a huge part of my transition from two years of professional baseball to college football at the University of Nebraska. He has been the best strength coach I have had at any level and would recommend his expertise to anyone who is looking to improve their body, self esteem, and overall appearance."
